On the Road Again. And Again.

By Charlie Scott

Everywhere

We do our best to post a fresh Sounder article every weekday. But for the next couple of weeks, that’s probably not going to happen. There’s digging to be done. Lots of it. So many of us will be stepping away from our desks.

Although Trufflepig does research trips throughout the year, this May is shaping up to be a beast of a month for office travel. Here’s a quick run down of who’s going where this month and a small sampling of the places they’ll be checking out:

Amy
Asia is changing at breakneck speed these days, so we're returning to see what's new (including some lovely new hotels).
Vietnam (Halong Violet)
Laos (Amantaka)
Cambodia (The Sothea)
Hong Kong (The Upper House)
Beijing

Dan & Greg
They'll be attending INDABA (a huge travel trade show attended by hundreds of African hotels and safari companies) and then heading off in different directions to visit safari lodges both old and new.
South Africa (Molori Safari Lodge, Rhino Walking Safaris)
Botswana (Chitabe Camp, Kwando)
Zimbabwe (Somalisa Camp)
Mozambique (Azura, Little Makololo Camp)

Charlie
We've never really done much research in the United States, but that's about to change. People keep asking about northern California, so that's where we'll be starting.
San Francisco
Napa (Poetry Inn)

Keep checking back for future posts if these destinations sound appealing. And if you're itching to get out on the road yourself, start here.
