Trufflepig has long championed all things artisanal, with a particular soft spot for foodie farm life. Now we have a new crush to share: The Music to Your Mouth Festival in November at Palmetto Bluff. We've partnered with our friends down in Bluffton to help you go Whole Hog.

The pursuit of earthy gastronomic perfection is a noble pastime, and if you took interest in our features on Charcutepalooza or La Petraia, you'll want to read on. Chasing rustic, old fashioned simplicity is far more rewarding then collecting Michelin stars and way more fun—after all we're more at home wading through a puddle in our wellies then sitting all buttoned up in a restaurant. But don't get me wrong, we like it dressed up and dressed down in equal measures, which is why this southern festival is like Cupid's arrow to our hearts. With events like a bourbon-themed boat cruise, a stink & drink cheese tasting, a hair-of-the-dog 5K run and and a giant riverbank oyster roast, all interspersed with local wineries, farmers & craftsmen showcasing their wares, it's going to be a humdinger of a time and we want to see you there.

The festival, now in its fifth year, runs from November 14-20 but the final weekend is the real kicker. If you are not already familiar with the playground that is Palmetto, you can read our gushing and heartfelt testimonial here. To truly make the most of your stay, we suggest you gather a few friends, book a 3-bedroom home, and sign up for the Whole Hog Weekend Package. To sweeten the deal we'll throw in a private conservancy tour (you gotta see these grounds!) and a private champagne picnic lunch for good measure. Now that ought to make you squeal with delight. Give us a ring for booking details, and don't be surprised if on the Sunday morning you find yourself tipsy in the Palmetto real estate office, looking to make this your second home.

Greg Sacks is a humdinger of a trip planner who first visited Palmetto Bluff earlier this year and has been in love ever since.
